Life has a way of shifting dramatically when you’ve stared death in the face. I’m Heather Roberts, Founder of Mom Bomb, and as my husband likes to joke, I’ve been organizing people since the day I was born. He loves to say that when I came into this world, I slapped the doctor instead of the other way around. I guess that’s his way of saying I’ve always been a go-getter. And for most of my life, I thrived on getting things done. That was until everything changed.
A Life-Changing Moment That Sparked a Mission
From Crisis to Purpose
Out of the blue, I was struck by a rare illness that completely upended my life. For 10 months, I endured excruciating pain, bouncing from diagnosis to diagnosis—none of them the right one. I lost everything I had worked for, and daily tasks became nearly impossible. I promised myself that if I survived this, I would dedicate my life to helping moms like me facing a crisis.

As I struggled through the physical and emotional toll of my illness, I found unexpected relief in self-care. Specifically, I started making bath bombs. The essential oils soothed my body, and the creative process became a form of therapy. But as I researched other bath bombs on the market, I realized there was a better way to make them—higher quality, better ingredients, and a deeper purpose behind each product.

We perfected the formula, but Mom Bomb was never just about bath products—it was about creating real impact. From day one, I set out to build a social impact company that gives 100% of profits to MomBomb.org, providing direct financial relief to moms in crisis. Inspired by my own experience of how life can change in an instant, my mission was to create a sustainable lifeline—ensuring that moms facing unexpected hardships have the support and relief they need, when they need it most.

That’s when Mom Bomb was created in 2017.
