A Silent Hero, a Sudden Crisis, and a Helping Hand

The recipient of this month’s Mom Bomb grant is a healthcare hero—one of the many women who quietly gave everything to help others, only to find herself in need when crisis came to her door.

Until recently, she worked as an in-home caretaker for an elderly woman, showing up every day with compassion and strength, even as the national health crisis raged on. She risked her own health because families depended on her.

But like many in our country, she suddenly found herself without a job.

This mother is raising two children with special needs on her own. The job loss was more than financial—it cut her off from critical support systems she relied on. She didn’t ask for sympathy. She didn’t even expect help. But she needed it.

And Mom Bomb Giving was able to say yes.

Thanks to the proceeds from every product we sell—and the generous donors who support our mission—we were able to step in with meal delivery services. One less thing for her to worry about. One more sign that she’s not alone.

“I’m very grateful and thankful,” she told us.
