Hands-On, Hearts Full: Our Holiday Science Day with Comfort

Bath Bombs, Unicorns, and One Brilliant Little Scientist

This Christmas, instead of just giving a gift, we gave an experience—and what an experience it was!

We had the absolute joy of spending the afternoon with Comfort, an incredibly bright and curious 8-year-old girl currently living in a local shelter with her mom, Lindiwe. Comfort has a big love for science and a special fascination with chemical reactions—so we knew exactly what to do.

We invited Comfort and her mom for a hands-on bath bomb making day filled with science, creativity, laughter, and a whole lot of heart.

From the moment she arrived, Comfort dove in like a total pro. She picked out colors and scents with the precision of a chemist and the flair of an artist. Her favorite part? Forming the bath bombs—she said it felt like playing with sand!

“This is so fun!” she said with a huge smile, showing off her favorite creation—a sparkly blue and pink bath bomb she named Cotton Candy, because it reminded her of unicorns (one of her favorite things).

We couldn’t agree more—Comfort is pure magic.

She’s a natural maker, and it was amazing to see her work through each step with excitement and skill. Every bath bomb had personality, creativity, and just the right touch of sparkle.

We shared pizza, laughs, and lots of encouragement. Her mom, Lindiwe, told us how much it meant to have this special time together—and we couldn’t be more grateful to have had the chance to give this day to them.

Comfort’s confidence was contagious. Her joy? Completely unforgettable. And her future? Bright as the glitter in her bath bombs.

This is what Mom Bomb Giving is all about—creating moments that matter. Whether it’s through essential services, unexpected support, or joyful connection, we show up for moms and kids when they need it most.

Comfort, we are your biggest fans—and we can’t wait to see the amazing things you’ll do next.

From all of us at Mom Bomb: thank you for letting us be part of your story. Until next time, keep dreaming big, keep experimenting, and keep being your magical self.
